Marc Anthony is a Puerto Rican-American singer, actor, and producer who was born on September 16, 1968, in New York City. His birth name is Marco Antonio Muñiz.

Anthony began his music career as a session vocalist for freestyle and house acts in the late 1980s. He released his debut album, "Rebel," in 1988. However, it wasn't until the release of his Spanish-language album "Otra Nota" in 1993 that he gained widespread success.

Anthony went on to become one of the best-selling salsa artists of all time, with hits like "I Need to Know," "You Sang to Me," and "Vivir Mi Vida." He has won numerous awards, including two Grammys and five Latin Grammys.
